A classic Sichuan-style Chinese dish that comes with complex salty, sweet, sour, and spicy flavours, made even better with Harvest Gourmet Chargrilled Pieces that are meat-free and have an authentic smoky flavour.

Ingredients
  • 10 grams Oil, corn and canola
  • 5.08 grams Ginger root, raw
    sliced
  • 2 grams Garlic, raw
    crushed
  • 7.50 grams Peppers, pasilla, dried
  • 35 grams Onions, raw
    cut into wedges
  • 4.20 grams Sugars, brown
  • 2.50 grams Lime juice, raw
  • 30 grams Beverages, water, tap, drinking
  • 5 grams Corn flour, whole-grain, white
  • 30 grams Peanuts, all types, raw
    toasted and roughly pounded
Preparation

    Heat oil, fry ginger, garlic, dried chilies. Fry until fragrant.

    Add Harvest Gourmet Chargrilled Pieces and yellow onion, fry for a while.
  • 3
    In a bowl, mix the light soy sauce, MAGGI CukupRasa, thick soy sauce, sugar, apple cider vinegar, water and corn starch. Mix well.

    Pour the sauce mixture into the pan, mix well until the gravy thickens.
  • 5
    Sprinkle with peanuts and ready to serve.
